Happy Advent and Merry Christmas!

So often at Christmas, visitors from near and far come to worship with us. Maybe this is where you were baptized, made your First Communion, or were confirmed as a teenager. Maybe you were received into the Catholic Church as an adult here, with a parishioner sharing their faith with you along your way. You and your spouse may have been married here and then moved to another town to raise your family. Some of you buried a loved one from the parish, and felt a hospitality that called you back to a place where you celebrated well the life of a loved one. Perhaps you are here with a family member or friend for the first time. Whatever the reason, Welcome! We are from near and far too! We gather together from Melrose, Saugus, Wakefield, Stoneham, Lynn, Georgetown, Beverly, South Boston, Framingham and beyond! We are married couples, single persons, widows, widowers, and religious sisters and brothers living in community. We have young children, we are raising teenagers, we take care of our aging parents, and some of us are empty-nesters!

We are blessed with a Pastoral Staff that fosters our spiritual and educational growth. We are encouraged to listen and act when God calls us to ministry. God may call us to be a lector at Mass, sing in the choir, participate in a Food Drive, volunteer at our Community Dinner, prepare a meal for a parish function, or be an altar server… just to name a few! We are life-long learners, eager to know more about our faith and who God is calling us to be. We believe in the dignity of all persons and look for Christ in those around us. We come here each week to worship together and give thanks to God for our many blessings.

We are so glad you are here with us today. We hope that you will come back and get to know us better, and let us get to know you!
